Perfectly in tune with what we know about her, Michèle Noiret gives her 'Solo Stockhausen' the full scope of her attentive breeziness. A piece that asserts itself in space while knowing to perfection when to suspend its movement the better to reveal its depth, this little gem was particularly well received."
Masterful for all its minimalism, 'Solo Stockhausen' glides into the German composer's 'Tierkreis' (The zodiac) as if propelled by a smooth breast stroke. Tense elegance of the arms and hands, slight undulations of a body under the influence. One listens to as much as watches this poem of a woman gripped by the music. A limpid piece (as much as the score, barely heard in the background) that seems to return from a great distance to whisper in our ear, 'Solo Stockhausen' is a nocturnal dance. One could say it is phosphorescent within its rim of darkness."
A piece reduced to its essentials (...) Michèle Noiret beguiles us with her seemingly faltering dance, the stunning speed of her wrist movements, her originality while whispering strange words in the ears of the people in the first row, her elegance and her mastery of lighting, which transforms her into a silhouette or a puppet from the shadow theatre."
Solo Stockhausen, interpreted by Michèle Noiret is another delightful moment. (...)
The fascinating presence of the choreographer, the quality of her dancing, at once precise and flowing, underpinned with silently uttered incantations directed at the audience and with sign language, echoes as an ode to gentleness and humanity."
It is always a pleasure to rediscover Michèle Noiret on stage. This soloist uses her stretched, toned body with subtlety, finesse and precision. She shares in and manages to give lightness to this austere music, to play with the inventiveness of the notes and their distribution across space. Hers is a fascinating presence thanks to her astonishing flexibility, extending to her distribution of light and dark, like the shadows of spiders where her fingers and entire body break into delicate rhythmic particles, all imbued with a vital energy irradiating the dance."
Unbelievably controlled, tight and athletic as ever, Michèle Noiret's gestures sometimes escape from the score into mad flight, and sometimes merge with it more than faithfully. The personal science of the music is tangible. Anguish sometimes slips in between frenzy and slowness (perhaps an echo of temperaments determined by the stars?), together at times with the genuine surprise of an animated face and true expressions. But in the match between dance and music it was humour above all else which emerged. Unexpected and disarming."
Once again she has displayed her fascinating choreographic imagination. (...) Perfect physical control, sweetness which never drowns in sentimentality. A little jewel."
